I offer services to organizations involved in humanitarian projects, relief, aid efforts, and many others.
Recent projects have taken me to India to document the story of child marriages. Young, early teen girls living in tribal villages are forced to marry, thereby destroying their own lives and futures.
An assignment in Ethiopia during the drought emergency to uncover the plight of children forced to deal with difficult circumstances.
A shoot in Burkina Faso and Ghana on behalf of an international children’s foundation who are bringing schools and clinics to remote and primitive areas.
The images from Nicaragua shown in the gallery were captured a few weeks before widespread unrest broke out in April, 2018 as a result of government cutbacks on pensions and other social benefits. The turmoil has continued with mass arrests, torture and murder of protesters, journalists, students and others seeking justice for the people of this Central American country. The organization that commissioned me helps children gain access to formal education, basic healthcare and clean water. They also help girls develop knowledge, confidence and leadership skills through girls’ clubs, child and youth groups and children’s networks. This increases opportunities for girls to raise their voices and participate in local decision-making.
